Robert “Buck” Nickerson is a sixth generation Kent County Native. He was raised on Andelot Farm (near Worton) where he learned a strong work ethic at an early age.

Buck began working on a survey field crew as a summer job when he was age 15. After graduating from Kent County High School in 1987, he attended Catonsville Community College until 1991 when he completed their Surveying Technology Program. While in college, Buck worked part time on a survey field crew and also worked on various crop and dairy farms in the evenings and weekends.

In 1991, Buck began working full time as a surveyor, both in the field and the office. In 2001, he became eligible to apply to become a licensed Land Surveyor. After passing 12 hours of exams, Buck received his license in January 2003, becoming one of the youngest licensed Land Surveyors in the State of Maryland.

Over the years Buck has supervised and performed several thousand various survey jobs including farm surveys, lot surveys, location drawings, subdivisions, construction stakeout, topography, condominium plats, site and grading plans in Cecil, Kent, Queen Annes, Talbot, Caroline and Anne Arundel counties.

Buck enjoys working on the farm, attending and participating in truck and tractor pulls, working on his 1933 Chevy street rod and spending time with his yellow labs, Pearl and Claire.
